AVO-CACAO Antioxidant Facial Mask

Combine these nutrient-dense ingredients for hydration,exfoliation and a speedy delivery of super-charged phytonutrients,resulting in positively luminous and healthy,glowing skin.

  • 1/5 avocado,ripe enough to mash easily but not overripe.
  • 1 teaspoon raw,unrefined cacao powder(different from baking cocoa,which is roasted and processed with alkali)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar(Do not use turbinado sugar as the grains are too coarse for use on the face)Scoop in to a saucepan,and cook over medium-low heat.


You Need:small mixing bowl,fork

Scoop the avocado out of its shell,discard the seed and place flesh  into mixing bowl.Mash until smooth,.Add the cacao and sugar.blending the powders into the avocado to create a uniform paste.
To use:Spread a thick layer of the mask onto clean skin:Leave on 10 to 20minutes;wipe off using a warm facial cloth.(Note that the chocolate may stain clothing.)After the mask is removed,splash your face with warm water to remove any last traces of the mask.Follow with hydrosol/toner and moisturizer.
This mask is best used fresh and is completely edible,It actually tastes like chocolate pudding,so feel free to lick your fingers after you apply! It is beneficial for all skin types.
especially dry.maturing and sun damaged skin.Sensitive skin types are advised to do a spot test prior to full application.The cacao does incrase circulation.which may result in flushed skin.This is normal and will subside withing half an hour.
